Nagoya is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and one of Japan’s principal industrial and economic centers. Historically, Nagoya developed as a castle town during the early Edo period under the Tokugawa clan. Its strategic location between Tokyo and Osaka contributed to its growth as a commercial hub.
